Factors Associated With Infertility:

Ovulation Prediction

Purchase an Ovulation Predictor Kit i.e. OvuQuick, Clear Plus Easy, OvuKit.
Begin testing according to manufacturer’s recommendation. Complete the testing during the daytime between 2 and 4 p.m. each day. When the color changes, call the office to schedule an appointment for the next morning for the following two tests. Have intercourse late the night before:
  • Ultrasound to determine follicular development
  • Post-coital test which assesses the sperm function at the cervix

Luteal Phase Evaluation: Serum Progesterone, blood tests performed days 5, 8, and 11 after the kit changes.

Hysterosalpingogram: an X-ray evaluation of uterine cavity and contour and potency of fallopian tubes.

Laparoscopy Hysteroscopy: A technique for evaluating for endometriosis and scar tissue around the tubes. The hysteroscopy is a more extensive evaluation of the endometrial cavity.
